Sherry Ricchiardi, formerly a reporter for the Des Moines Register, is a contributing writer for American Journalism Review magazine and a professor at the Indiana University School of Journalism. Since 1991, she has covered the conflict in the Balkans for several American publications, including AJR. In 1993, she was a Fulbright lecturer at Zagreb University in Croatia, where she directed programs for the International Media Fund.
