Mr. Kosirnik has held a variety of positions at the ICRC since 1976. Prior to becoming Deputy Director of International Law and Communication, he was Head of Mission and Regional Delegate for Southern Africa, Zimbabwe (1993-1996); Head of Legal Division in Geneva (1983-1993); Assistant to the Director of Operations in Geneva (1982); Head of Delegation in Cambodia (1981); Deputy and later Head of Delegation in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia)(1978-1980); and Legal Delegate in Israel and Occupied Territories (1976-1978).
