Urs Boegli, Head of Media Services, ICRC Geneva Mr. Boegli joined the ICRC in 1980 as a field delegate in Aranyaprathet, Thailand. He was head of the sub-delegation in Huambo, Angola, from 1981 to 1982, after which he served as head of delegation in Khartoum, Sudan from 1983 to 1985. From 1985 to 1986, Mr. Boegli was head of the East Africa Task Force in Geneva. He returned to Thailand from 1986 to 1990 to serve as the head of delegation in Bangkok. He became deputy delegate general for Asia in Geneva from 1990 to 1992 and head of ICRC Bosnia Herzegovina from 1992 to 1993. In 1994, Mr. Boegli returned to Asia as head of delegation in Phnom Penh. He returned to Geneva in 1996 to serve as head of the communication department and in 1998 became the Head of Media Services. |
