A Village Destroyed: May 14, 1999, by Fred Abrahams and Crimes of War Project Directors Eric Stover and Gilles Peress, has just been published by University of California Press. The book presents an investigative account of a massacre carried out by Serbian forces in the village of Cuska in Kosovo, based on the accounts of survivors.

Also included are photographs of the aftermath of the killings, and the exile and return of the Kosovar Albanians. The book has been described by Jack Geiger (former president of Physicians for Human Rights) as a "searing documentary... also a stunning example of careful, determined pursuit of evidence by frontline human rights workers," and by Aryeh Neier as "a very important book."
