The video, "Crimes of War," traces the growth of international humanitarian law from its inception to its current use as arbiter of horrific acts in Rwanda, Chechnya, Bosnia and Kosovo. Each segment of the video highlights on-the-ground experiences of respected television reportage, print journalists and photo-journalists - Lindsey Hilsum, Roy Gutman, Ron Haviv and Christaine Amanpour are among the narrators - to illustrate how an understanding of the laws of war can add to the quality and power of reporting from the war zone.

Produced by the Crimes of War Project in collaboration with Mandy Jacobson, producer of the award-winning documentary, Calling the Ghosts, and Ilan Ziv, award winning documentary producer whose films include Safe Haven, and Yellow Wasps.
